What is on your retail pack.
Every official retail pack contains two distinct visual elements: the public scannable identity target and a concealed security scratch key.
Points to the emergency resolver. Scanning this code initiates the activation sequence by opening the retail onboarding portal.
The alphanumeric vehicle identity printed on the decal. Used by support and voice dispatchers to identify the asset.

Use your smartphone camera to scan the physical retail decal. Tap the prompt to open activate.vaahansafe.com.
Reveal activation PIN
Gently scratch the concealed silver coating on the pack to reveal your unique 6-character activation secret.
Verify with mobile OTP
Sign in with your registered mobile phone number. Submit the revealed activation PIN to verify your ownership right.
Bind to your vehicle
Select an existing vehicle from your garage or enter the registration number of your new car or two-wheeler.
Instant roadside protection
Activation completes instantly. Clean the windshield or body panel, peel the decal, and apply it firmly to your vehicle.
Ownership & Verification Boundary
Scanning a VaahanSafe QR is not by itself the same as proving the right to activate it. Anyone can optically view or scan the public target printed on a packaged retail box. That scan merely routes the phone to the activation portal.
To establish authentic ownership, the platform requires entering the random 6-character activation PIN concealed beneath the scratch-off latex coating. This physical proof-of-possession guarantees that only the customer who unsealed the packaging can bind the decal to their account.

QR Not Scanning With Camera
Ensure adequate ambient lighting and wipe the packaging glossy surface to reduce glare. Hold your phone camera steady at a distance of 25 to 40 cm. Alternatively, you can visit activate.vaahansafe.com in any browser and type the alphanumeric ID printed beneath the QR code manually.
Activation Scratch Key Damaged / Unreadable
If the silver scratch coating was scraped too firmly with a sharp coin and characters are obliterated, do not discard the pack. Email support@vaahansafe.com with a clear photograph of the retail pack front showing the visible alphanumeric identity code. Our team will verify retail distributor records.
Mobile OTP Not Arriving
SMS one-time passwords are dispatched through licensed telecom routing. Please allow up to 60 seconds. Ensure your mobile number is an active 10-digit Indian number not blocking transactional A2P messages via Do-Not-Disturb (DND). If delayed, request a fresh OTP via WhatsApp relay.
Key Verification Mismatch
Activation keys are case-insensitive and contain uppercase letters and numbers. Carefully check common optical confusions: the number '0' versus letter 'O', the number '1' versus letter 'I', and the number '8' versus letter 'B'.
Vehicle Registration Connection Issue
If you have not yet received your permanent registration number for a brand-new vehicle, you may complete activation using your temporary registration number or chassis number, then update it in your portal once plates arrive.
QR Already Associated or Unavailable
If the system indicates the QR is already registered, the decal was previously claimed. If you purchased the sealed pack as new from an authorized dealer, contact support@vaahansafe.com with proof of purchase for immediate investigation.
